No Contact Tracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

The short version. Your breakup journey never leaves your phone. Every streak, mood, letter, red flag, and moment you save lives only on your device. We don't run a server that stores your content, and we can't read it even if we wanted to. Two narrow exceptions, both explained below: a small amount of anonymous usage and crash data (which you can turn off in Settings), and the AI coach, where the messages you choose to send are used only to generate the reply and are not stored by us.

1. Who we are

No Contact Tracker, also shown as NoContact in the app ("the app", "we", "us"), is a mobile application for iOS and Android, operated as an independent project by its developer. This policy explains what the app does with your information: a deliberately short list, because the app is designed to do as little as possible with it.

If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights described below, email us at nocontact.app.support@gmail.com.

2. What stays on your device

Everything you create inside the app is stored locally in your phone's private app storage. It is never uploaded to a server we run and never shared with any third party. This includes:

When you uninstall the app, this data is deleted by iOS or Android along with the app. We have no way to recover it. One note: your phone's own backup system (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google backup on Android) may include the app's local data, like it does for any app. That backup belongs to your Apple or Google account; we cannot access it.

3. What we collect (if you let us)

By default, the app turns on two anonymous telemetry streams that help us make the app more stable and useful. One toggle in Settings (anonymous analytics) switches both of them off at any time. Here's exactly what they do:

SourceWhat it seesWhy
Amplitude
Amplitude, Inc.
Anonymous event counts: app opens, which screens and features are used, whether a paywall was shown or dismissed, language selected, and an anonymous device identifier generated by Amplitude. Never any of the content you write in the app: no letter text, no red flag text, no notes, no coach messages. Tells us which features actually help people and where the app fails to guide them. Without this we're flying blind.
Sentry
Functional Software, Inc.
If the app crashes or hits an error: the stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and a short breadcrumb of the last few actions (button and screen names, no content). So we can find and fix crashes. Controlled by the same analytics toggle: turning analytics off also turns crash reporting off.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat, Inc.
If you subscribe to Pro: your subscription status, a pseudonymous ID generated by RevenueCat, and the App Store or Google Play purchase receipt. No personal identifiers we add ourselves. Handles receipt validation and subscription state across platforms. Required for the Pro subscription to work; cannot be turned off independently of the subscription.
Apple App Store / Google Play Billing
Apple Inc. / Google LLC
Everything a normal store purchase involves: the Apple or Google account on your device, the purchase amount, country, tax data. Handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card details. So you can pay for and manage a subscription. Governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

Turning off the analytics toggle in Settings disables Amplitude and Sentry, and the anonymous device identifier is dropped. It does not disable RevenueCat or store billing, because disabling those would break your ability to use or cancel your subscription.

4. The AI coach

The app includes an optional AI coach for the hard moments. It only does anything when you use it, and here is exactly what happens when you do:

The coach offers supportive coaching, not therapy or medical care. In a crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.

5. What we do not collect

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and you want the pseudonymous analytics identifier associated with their device deleted, email us and we will help request deletion from the relevant services.

7. Your rights

Because your content lives only on your device, the easiest way to exercise most privacy rights is directly through your phone:

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction that grants specific statutory privacy rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you additionally have the right to request a copy of any data we hold that relates to you, to request correction, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Given how little we collect, our response will usually be: we hold nothing tied to you by name; here is the list of pseudonymous identifiers Amplitude, Sentry, and RevenueCat may still hold, and we will help you request deletion from those services. Email us and we will walk you through it.

8. Security

Your content is stored inside your phone's private per-app sandbox, which iOS and Android encrypt as part of device encryption. No other app on your phone can read it. All network traffic (to Amplitude, Sentry, RevenueCat, the coach relay, and the stores) uses HTTPS. We do not operate servers that store your content, so there is no content server for us to lose.

9. International data transfers

The providers listed above (Amplitude, Sentry, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Apple, Google) may process data on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using the app you acknowledge that anonymous telemetry, subscription receipts, and coach messages may be processed outside your country of residence, under those providers' own safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, etc.).

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change what the app collects or how, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant (for example, adding a new analytics provider or adding cloud sync for your content), we will also surface a one-time notice inside the app so you can review it before continuing.
